Melissa Ryan, DHSc is a Scientific Marketing Manager for Global Marketing at Abbott.  She is also on the operational lead for the UNIVANTS of Healthcare Excellence program.

She is an experienced laboratory leader with over 10+ years’ experience in the anatomic pathology laboratory setting at academic medical centers such as Mayo Clinic, Rochester; Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago and University of Chicago Medicine, Chicago.

Melissa earned her B.S. in Biology/Pre-Med from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, Winona, Minnesota where she also was a college athlete.  She completed her Masters of Science Management (MSM) at Cardinal Stritch University, Rochester, Minnesota. She completed her Doctorate of Health Sciences (DHSc) at A.T. Still University, Mesa, Arizona.

She is a passionate champion of healthcare excellence and actively advocates for integrated clinical care teams that work across the care continuum to achieve measurably better healthcare performance.
