VIEW BIOGRAPHY

Professor Gerry Rayman is a Consultant Physician at the Diabetes and Endocrine Centre, Ipswich Hospitals NHS Trust, and Professor at University of East Anglia. Prof. Rayman is an influencial voice in diabetes care in the UK, having been the clinical lead for Diabetes UK’s ‘Putting Feet First’ campaign and his contributions to NICE guidelines on the diabetic foot and the NCEPOD recommendations on lower limb amputations and perioperative care.

Among his many roles, Prof. Rayman has been the NHS Diabetes Clinical lead for diabetes in-patient care and foot disease, past President of the Endocrine and Diabetes Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, Chair of Diabetes UK’s Clinical Study Group in Acute Care, and the Getting it Right First Time co-lead for Diabetes aimed at improving diabetes care in England.

Emma Page is a Transformation lead at East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust and GIRFT’s program lead for IP3D, a program aimed at Improving the Perioperative Pathway for People with Diabetes.

Emma brings knowledge and experience gained over her 17 years working in the NHS, which started in Primary Care Mental Health before moving across to work in Diabetes Care seven years ago.

Emma has a particular interest in diabetes perioperative care, self-management and diabetes inpatient care and has published and co-authored a number of papers in this area.
